Garden Stratford members get regular newsletters that share information, stories and tips from our local gardening community.

Become a member now to get our spring newsletter, which will be sent out in the final week of April. Watch for a feature on spring bloomers, some as early as mid-March, who are harbingers of hope for the coming season.

Garden Stratford member Diane Rychliski submitted these two beauties from her garden. Above, Blue crocus flowers, such as “Blue Pearl” or Crocus tommasinianus, are among the early birds that poke up through the snow. Summer snowflake, below, grows 18 to 24 inches tall with bell-shaped, green-tipped white flowers in late spring.
